We are OPEN, and new HOW-TOs next week!

Doc of Doctored Locks with Hello Gorgeous text

Hey friend!

I hope that you are finding a calming balance to the storm around you. We have certainly scrambled to find new ground. In a way, this pandemic has forced us to bond more tightly and clarify our mission. It's times like these when the uncertainty creeps in that I want to reach for your gloved and sanitized hand, and lean into the feeling that we are ALL stronger together.

Salons and spas are closed across the country. Whether you are burning to try something new with your hair OR if you will need higher earning hair styling skills when you return to work - we got you. Next week, we will start bringing you streaming content on how to create longer, fuller hair - even IF you struggle with thin hair or fine hair - and EVEN IF you don't know where to start.

1. Be on the lookout for the Hair Extension Tutorial Schedule that will be released soon!

2. Our online store is still OPEN and shipping orders!

I used to think that running a small business was something to be embarrassed about (that we should be bigger and that we weren't enough). Frankly, during this time, its been our saving grace. Our amazing customer service ladies are working remotely (Val & Jolene), and shipping is being handled by Kay. Kay is making sure that all of us are still employed and can carry on our roles. She is amazing.

We have also created a strict disinfecting protocol for product shipping. Gloves and masks are used to protect you and Kay. Every single package of hair is wiped down or sanitized with a 99% effective solution against viruses. We are grateful for our shipping partners at USPS and UPS that help keep our supplies coming in, and your parcels shipping out to you.

We will all get through this.

If you have any specific learning requests for next week, please hit reply and let me know.

See you soon!

Hope you are taking care <3
I ordered a few colors of the loose synthetic hair to have my stylist make dreads to install in my hair. With all that is going on, we have not been able to meet up so she hasn't been able to even start creating the dreads. do you have any recommendations for videos or website resources that I could use to make my own dread extensions with? Im looking for them to actually be dreaded into my hair instead of clipped in. I would love to still get some dreads into my style!!
Appreciate any advice you may have to offer.
    With care,

      Hey Maggie!
There is a whole tutorial section on making synthetic dreadlocks! Check it out-
Most synthetic dreadlocks will be braided in for a temporary style. Or you can create extenders for natural dreads. If you have any questions along the way, just shoot them my way :)
