DIY: How to Create a Layered Synthetic Dreadlock Ponytail Using Double Ended Dreads


Synthetic Dreadlock Layered Ponytail:


Learn how to create a layered dreadlock ponytail.

Items Needed:
Double Ended Dreadlocks
Elastic
Comb Clip
Needle
Thread
Scissors
Rubber Bands

Steps:
1. Cut a strip of elastic approximately 12 inches long.
2. Secure the ends of the elastic.
3. Lay a dread over the elastic.
4. Rubber band the dread in place around the elastic.
5. Continue adding dreads until the elastic has been filled to approximately five inches.
6. Cut another elastic piece slightly wider than the first row of dreadlocks.
7. Secure the elastic snugly to either side of the first row of dreadlocks.
8. Add dreads to the new elastic in the same manner as the first.
9. With your dreadlock layers now in place, unsecure the base elastic.
10. Sew through the layers of elastic so the piece is secured together.
11. Sew the comb to the elastic on the topmost layer.
