Customer Questions
I want to extend my natural dreads but I think 22-25 inches may be too long and I can’t afford as many as I would need..would they look okay if I cut them in half? Or would that totally compromise the look of the dread?
You are going to LOVE these for that! I just did a full install on myself and cut them several inches shorter. Just use a strong comb, and comb the cut part so the end is fluffy again, then dip them into hot water and carefully squeeze just the ends...
Can these be re-dyed? I have orange/ginger hair there isn't a natural ginger or even just a straight up orange to use. I was thinking of a light blonde and dying that to match my hair.
They can be stained, but not dyed necessarily. I use Liquitex inks thinned out with alcohol to change the color. It works very very well and holds a long time. I've had my blonde with dark roots in for about a month and the color is still going strong...
Will the rich chocolate be back in stock soon?
This week. :)
I want to add just a few blonde and colors near the bottom of my hair so i want them to match my length. Can i cut the dreads? I’d probably need to take off about an inch or two.
Yes!! You absolutely can! I had mine in for over a year and I had originally cut about 5 inches off. If you blunt cut them, you can use a comb to make the ends fluffy again, and then just dip them in freshly boiled water to smooth them out. I use...
Could you just wrap these around your own hair? Like could you un-loc it by rolling it the opposite way it's dreaded then just re-roll it around your hair?
Crochet dreads aren't spun, so they don't unroll. The dreads that are twisted - they wouldn't stay twisted around your hair though. You would want to braid them in with an SE or DE method. :)
