1. Turn the wig inside out.
2. Cut the interior of the lace band of the top of the wig.
3. Run a brush through the hair to remove any loose hairs.
4. Stitch into the wig along the top line to secure your thread.
5. Sew 5 clips along the top edge - one on each side and three spaced evenly in between.
6. Sew on additional clips to the side and bottom if needed.

  • I ordered a full lace wig but really love the look of longer hair with a shaved nape... could you tell me if/how I can cut the nape of the wig to expose the undercut when I wear the wig in ponytail & the best way to attach the back hairline?

If we remove that, we need to make sure that we can still have everything stay where we want it. :) The trick would be to put the wig on, and mark it with straight pins where you want your shaved nape to appear. Then, use a measuring tape to see how wide this area should be. Take the wig off - cut the nape away. Then use some lace that matches the netting as best you can (nothing bright) and cut to the same width you measured. Center it on the cut wig, pin in place so that it is evenly distributed to the sides, then stitch it so that the nape isn't floppy. The last step is to sew in weaving clips. Two at the front hairline, two or three at the nape (one on each side, and one center if you have enough room). Bada bing! You should be in business. :) I think this is a great idea too! I'll try to get a video out asap!
