Synopsis: Does the lack of sunshine have you feeling dark? Be brunette for the day!
There is something about watching the sun set at 4:30pm that gets me feeling a bit meh. “Its too early to be dark!” I scream at the sky.
For someone who likes to match their hair to their mood, it is definitely the season to go darker. Seasonal “hair-moodiness” can wreak havoc on your hair condition.
Every year, I try to resist the compulsion to match the weather. I know that I’m going to be annoyed when Spring comes and I’m trying to pull all that color back to match my new-found sunny blonde disposition! Last Spring was no exception. Three bleaches over the course of a few days left my hair in less than favorable condition. This year, I’m feeding that compulsion with a smarter alternative.
I stocked up on wintery chocolate brown wigs! I am up to nine! The styles and lengths vary, but they are all my favorite seasonal shades. When I'm the mood strike I just open up my hair wardrobe and dive into my collection.
I get to have my dark locks with no transitional damage back to my inevitable summertime blonde. Who said you can't have your cake and eat it to?
