Fusion is a keratin protein based system that allows hair extensions to be attached by thermal bonding (melting the protein to an adhesive state).  Strands of extension hair are bonded to strands of the natural hair. 

 

Doctored Locks fusion products are removed by using an acetone based remover to crystallize the bonds.  The bonds are then crushed and turn into a fine powder.  The extensions then slide out of the hair with little to no effort.  Damage free!
