Fusion

Fusion is the hair extension art of adding strands of extension hair to strands of natural hair with a hot protein adhesive.

A few *higher end* companies want you to believe that their fusion system contains no adhesive and is intead all protein.

Fundamentally, this makes no sense. If it sticks, it's an adhesive. Many adhesives are protein based (even Elmers!). I suppose the thought here is if you don't scare your clients you can charge more.

Also, there are many new tools that use a *no-heat* fusion system via ultrasonic vibrations. However, just like egg-substitute is all eggs, ultrasonic connections use heat to connect strand to strand. The machines heat with micro-waves. So just like your microwave cooks without getting hot, these methods definately use heat.
