Any shampooing will strip color out, so if you do so do it sparingly. Conditioner sets the cuticle to hold the color - but conditioning is not great for the locking process, so if you use a conditioner do it sparingly and likely watered waaaaay down. So all in all, both are optional really. Just rinse those bad boys and set them out to dry! :)

Awesome video! I didn't even know that it's best to dye dreadlocks when they were damp! That helps a lot! Doc, after you dye the dreads should you shampoo and condition the dreads or just shampoo the dreadlocks or just rinse? Mine do not turn out this nice and I dye my dreads a lot. I never thought of using a plastic bag to dye them either! FABULOUS! :)
