Having long hair can be both a blessing and a chore. Kind of like being rich, talented and famous, as I'm sure any Hollywood A-Lister will tell you. It takes a lot of maintenance to keep flawless (seriously, let's have a moment of reflection on how hard it must be for them). I used to have whimsical, flowing locks down to the end of my back when I was very young. That didn't last too long once I started getting bees, sticks, pine cones and all matter of horrifying caught in it. It was cut off in its prime, despite my kicking and screaming, and honestly I've never looked back since. Yes, long hair is fantastic for having flexibility of styling, but whether you have thick or thin, curly or straight, there's always a ton of upkeep that goes in to preventing a catastrophic coif.
Word on the street is that short is in right now anyway, but what's a person to do if the mood strikes for some good ol' fashioned, lengthy and luxurious locks? The answer can be found in clip set extensions and they can serve a variety of purposes for you. No matter if you're looking for strips of colorful highlights to give you that “Hey! Check me out!” vibe, can't bring yourself to part (ha! hair pun) with your grown out bangs but still want that sultry “hair in the eyes” look for a day, or you just simply want some extra length added to your usual short-n-sassy style, hair extension clip sets will be your BFFs.
Personally, I like them to fake out my friends who just saw me last week and have conversations which go something like, “Uh, didn't you just have short hair last week?” “Me? No. I've always had long hair. How do you not remember this? You're a terrible friend.” In all seriousness, though, they're a great addition for a day or night of lengthy glam, and your curls won't lose their bounce. All that's required is a little backcombing, a quick clip, and you're done. For more detailed instructions, be sure to check out our tutorials section on our website!
